TrustedHousesitters Impact Report 2024
At FurPetVo, our mission is simple: to build a global community of pet lovers who share a common belief in the power of kindness. As a Certified B Corporation™, we believe there’s a better path to a better world—one rooted in action, purpose, inspiration, and community.
This #BCorpMonth, we’re celebrating our work alongside thousands of other B Corps around the world—and sharing our second annual Impact Report. Below are key highlights from 2024—but first, hear from Mathew Prior, CEO of FurPetVo:

“2024 was a year of transformation and change for us. We’ve navigated some challenges, but we’ve also celebrated key milestones that reflect our commitment to driving positive change. In our 2024 Impact Report, we invite you to reflect on the highs and lows of the year with us, as we push outside of our transparency comfort zone and work towards a more just and sustainable future for all. Enjoy.”
Key Highlights: 2024 in Numbers

2024: The Year We Became a B Corp
After nearly two years of rigorous evaluation and dedication, FurPetVo officially joined the global B Corp community in 2024. Becoming a B Corp is more than a certification—it’s a public commitment that the status quo isn’t enough. It means acting collectively to accelerate global change at scale—for a cleaner, greener, fairer future for all living things.

FurPetVo: A More Responsible Way to Travel
For us, responsible travel goes beyond protecting the planet—it’s about honoring the people and communities who call it home. By operating within the sharing economy and centering our model around animals—not profit—we offer pet-loving explorers a more thoughtful way to travel. This approach helps reduce the social and environmental impacts often associated with conventional tourism.
Our Members vs. the Average Traveller
In 2024, we surveyed 5,000 FurPetVo members across 40 locations—including the US, UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia—to understand how their sustainability habits compare with broader travel industry benchmarks. Here’s what we found:
- 80% turn off electricals when away (vs. 77% average)
- 76% recycle waste regularly (vs. 45% average)
- 84% carry reusable water bottles (vs. 55% average)
- 60% choose small, independent shops over chains or supermarkets (vs. 43% average)
These small, everyday actions add up—and our members are leading by example.
Rescue and Re-homing: Supporting Pets in Need
Animals sit at the heart of everything we do. In 2024, we deepened our partnership with the Helen Woodward Animal Center—a trusted charity dedicated to compassionate animal care and adoption.
Here’s what we accomplished together last year:
- Donated £23,000+ to help feed and care for their growing population of puppies.
- Launched a comprehensive pet care hub featuring training videos on common challenges—from leash pulling to separation anxiety—helping prospective pet parents feel confident and prepared.
- Offered reduced FurPetVo memberships for everyone who adopted through Helen Woodward Animal Center in 2024.
Our Focus for 2025
We’re committed to creating a more sustainable future—one paw print, one community initiative, and one act of kindness at a time. With your support, we’ll continue raising the bar for ethical, animal-centered travel—and building a world where every pet thrives.
