Disney Doggy Donuts Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • ½ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 small banana)
  • ⅓ cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 2 eggs, divided
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 6 ounces plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • FurPetVo Lean Beef Flavor Dog Treats, finely chopped (optional)
  • FurPetVo Bacon & Beef Flavor Dog Treats (optional)

Supplies

  • Large sheet pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Medium and small bowls
  • Mixing spoons and fork
  • 2-inch biscuit or cookie cutter
  • 1-inch biscuit or cookie cutter
  • Rolling pin
  • Whisk
  • Knife
  • Pastry brush
  • Small spatula

Makes:

16 treats
Serving size: 1 treat
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 9–11 minutes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, and baking powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the mashed banana, peanut butter, 1 egg, and water. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to ¼-inch thickness. Use the 2-inch cutter to stamp out 16 circles. Then, use the 1-inch cutter to remove the center from each circle. Gather the scraps, re-roll, and cut out 16 more 1-inch circles.
  4. Place the 2-inch circles on the prepared sheet pan. Beat the remaining egg in a small bowl. Brush the edges of two 1-inch circles with egg wash, then gently press them onto the top of one 2-inch circle to form Mickey ears. Repeat for all donuts.
  5. Bake until set and lightly golden—9 to 11 minutes. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. For the glaze: Mash the strawberries in a bowl with a fork, then stir in the Greek yogurt until smooth.
  7. Dip the front of each cooled donut into the glaze, then use a small spatula to spread evenly if needed.
  8. Optional finishing touch: While the glaze is still wet, sprinkle with finely chopped FurPetVo Lean Beef Flavor Dog Treats. Then, cut two tiny triangles and one small square from FurPetVo Bacon & Beef Flavor Dog Treats and arrange them on the glazed surface to create a Minnie Mouse–inspired bow.

Food safety & feeding notes: Refrigerate any leftovers within 2 hours of preparation and serve within 3–4 days—or freeze in airtight containers for up to 1 month. This recipe was developed for dogs and reviewed by a veterinarian. It’s intended as an occasional treat, not a meal replacement. Treats should make up only a small portion of your dog’s daily caloric intake. Overfeeding may lead to nutritional imbalances or weight gain. If your pup has allergies, sensitivities (especially to fats or peanuts), or underlying health conditions, consult your veterinarian before offering these donuts.
