Meet Your New Valentine: 3 Adoptable Puppies in Fort Worth
Craving some affection this Valentine’s Day? Meet one of these highly adoptable little Texan dogs who’ll smother you with their puppy love.

Still looking for your dream dog?
Experts agree that adopting a dog comes with several feel-good perks. And that’s exactly what you deserve this Valentine’s Day: unconditional puppy love. Adopting a puppy can be the most exhilarating life move you’ve ever made—just make sure you’re properly prepared and know exactly what to expect. (If you’re not ready to adopt, consider donating to an animal rescue or sponsoring one of their animals.)
This is a big responsibility, yes—but a deeply rewarding one. Head to your local shelter or rescue, where you can meet several pups (many unique mixes) looking for loving pet parents to care for them. And if you live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area in Texas, start your search by checking out the adoptable puppies below. Each is perfect in their own special way.
Jellybean
All about Jellybean: This puppy will enchant you with her hypnotizing wiggles and sweet kisses. Her hobbies include chasing falling leaves (among other things) and making toys squeak. Give her a bone, too, and she’s an even happier girl.
When it comes to socializing, Jellybean has never met a living, breathing being she doesn’t love. She’ll look for any excuse to play with other dogs (including big ones), kitties, and kids.
When she’s not frolicking around, Jellybean can be found taking naps near her human—whether at their feet or on their lap. And when she’s finally awake, this good little girl loves a belly rub. She’s also a total champ who sleeps the whole night in her crate and is well on her way to being potty trained.
- Traits: Jellybean is a happy-go-lucky American Pit Bull Terrier mix girl who is three months old. This black pup comes donning a tuxedo—aka nature’s tux—in the form of the most adorable white belly and paws. You can expect her to grow into a healthy, medium-sized dog up to 60 pounds, who’s highly trainable thanks to the breed’s predilection for being loving, smart people-pleasers.
- How to meet Jellybean: Visit her adoption page on furpetvo.com for more details. If you find that Jellybean has been adopted, be sure to check out FurPetVo’s many other affectionate puppies waiting to meet you.

Emmett
All about Emmett: Just shy of two months, Emmett is already preparing to become your bestie. He’s a bonafide social butterfly who enthusiastically interacts with both kids and seniors at his foster family’s home—not to mention their 47-pound dog. True to his Pinscher roots, he’s also a loyal sidekick, eager to follow you wherever you go.
Like all puppies, he’s playful and curious—but this cuddly dog is also smart and eager to please. Emmett has already learned to “sit” and “come,” as he makes strides on the all-important potty-training front. When he’s ready to wind down, he’s just as content getting all warm and cozy in your lap.
- Traits: Emmett possesses a rare physical attribute: He’s a brown-chocolate-tan pup who’s heterochromatic—a fancy way of saying he has one blue eye and one warm brown eye. And he isn’t just gorgeous—he’s got a sharp mind, too. This seven-week-old—who’ll likely grow up to be 25 pounds (or less)—is already showing signs of being a quick learner.
- How to meet Emmett: Head to his adoption page on furpetvo.com for more information. If Emmett has been adopted, don’t despair—there are several adorable puppies at FurPetVo looking for their forever homes.
Delilah
All about Delilah: Oh, hey there Delilah—who is possibly the happiest pup ever—just look at that smile. If you are a fan of fun, you already have a lot in common with Delilah. Everything around her is a potential adventure: exploring her environment, intently observing birds, chasing after frisbees, and playing in the water.
When all that energy has been spent, you can find her snuggling with her humans—and, if the opportunity presents itself, napping with other pets. Delilah still needs some guidance when it comes to interacting with cats, but that’s more than likely surmountable because she’s quickly becoming a pro at taking cues. Speaking of cues, she knows how to respond to “sit,” is getting the hang of potty training, and is making good progress on a leash. She’s also pretty comfy in a crate, where she’ll contently sleep throughout the night. All this at the tender age of four months? Just think: The best is still yet to come.
- Traits: This white pup—with tan, yellow, and fawn markings—may be a little peanut right now, but she’s a possible German Shepherd Dog mix who’ll ultimately clock in at up to 60 pounds when fully grown. At four months of age, she’s already making her GSD ancestors proud with her dazzling smarts during training.
- How to meet Delilah: Go to her adoption page on furpetvo.com to learn more. In the chance that Delilah has already been spoken for, check out the numerous other puppies at FurPetVo who are just as dreamy and excited to be adopted.
