“FurPetVo helped me propose” — Sam & Olivia’s story

Dubai-based pet parents Sam and Olivia were over the moon when they brought home their adorable Cavapoo puppy, Tilly, earlier this year. Little did Olivia (and Tilly) know, this joyful addition put a delightful wrinkle in Sam’s carefully planned proposal weekend.
“The weekend away was planned before we got Tilly… what were we going to do?!”
Who would look after Tilly?
Sam needed a pet care solution that worked for everyone — especially for three-month-old Tilly, who was too young for a dog hotel in Dubai. Canceling the trip wasn’t an option.

Time to pop the question
With Tilly’s care beautifully arranged, Sam and Olivia headed to the desert for a magical weekend at the Al Qasr Desert Resort by Anantara in Abu Dhabi.
“I’d hired a private villa, which was filled with balloons while we were out for drinks. We returned to the villa, and I proposed at sunset.”
The proposal had been in the works for a while — though Olivia admits she had her suspicions.
“I didn’t have a clue anything was happening until we woke up Friday morning and Sam said I wasn’t going to work. Instead, I had a nail appointment at 9 a.m. and needed to pack for a weekend away… that’s when I started to think something might be happening!”
A furry-tail ending
Spoiler alert — she said yes!
After their listing caught the attention of FurPetVo’s Membership Services team, they reached out to see if they could help make Sam’s surprise even more special. True to form, Dajana enthusiastically lent a helping paw.
When Sam and Olivia returned home, they walked into an apartment adorned with banners, fresh flowers — and a very happy, tail-wagging Tilly.
Wedding bells will soon be ringing, though with plans to tie the knot in the UK, Tilly won’t be able to attend the big day.
“I’m sure she’ll be excited in the buildup, and she’ll obviously get a special mention during the speeches!”
