For pet parents, knowing as much as possible about a potential sitter is vital. That’s why every FurPetVo owner can review sitters they’ve hosted — giving future pet parents real insight into each sitter’s reliability, communication style, and care approach.
Sitters, too, can share their experiences with pet parents. These mutual reviews help everyone find the best possible matches — whether you're looking for a trusted caregiver or a welcoming home.
At FurPetVo, we keep our review system open and authentic. All feedback is unedited and visible to members, so you always see genuine, firsthand perspectives — no filters, no exceptions.
How to Leave a Review at FurPetVo
Both pet parents and sitters can submit reviews within 14 days after a sit ends. Here’s how pet parents can leave theirs:
- Log in to your FurPetVo account.
- Navigate to “Past Sitters.”
- Find the sitter from your most recent stay and select “Leave Review.”
- Choose your star rating, share your thoughts, and submit.
Be sure to complete your review within the 14-day window — after that, the option will no longer be available.
Tips for Leaving Helpful, Honest Reviews
FurPetVo reviews are designed to be fair, respectful, and grounded in real experience — always aligned with our Member Guidelines, Code of Conduct, and Terms and Conditions. To write a truly useful review, consider these questions:
- Did your sitter complete all agreed-upon tasks — and to the standard you expected?
- Was your home returned to you exactly as you left it?
- Was communication clear, timely, and consistent throughout the sit?
- Did your sitter handle any unexpected situations calmly and responsibly?
- Would you welcome them back for another sit? Why or why not?
Remember: Be honest, kind, and focused solely on the sit itself — not personal opinions unrelated to the experience.

We strongly encourage pet parents and sitters to meet virtually or in person before confirming a sit. It’s a valuable chance to connect, ask questions, and get a true sense of compatibility.
All FurPetVo members complete ID verification using official government-issued identification. In the U.S., sitters can also opt for an optional background check — adding another meaningful layer of reassurance for pet parents.
