“Peta and Adam were our last-minute saviors for our Christmas”
It might be the most wonderful time of the year—but for pet parents, deciding to leave their furry family behind over the holidays is often filled with guilt. That’s why members Donna, Lia, and Susanne were especially grateful they’d already connected with trusted pet lovers through FurPetVo when last-minute care was needed for their beloved pets.

Festive dog sitters keep tails wagging
For member Donna, finding the right sitter for her 16-year-old senior pup, Muffin, was essential. Muffin required daily medication and gentle, attentive care—so Donna prioritized connecting with someone experienced, compassionate, and confident in senior pet needs.
Lia de Sola faced a holiday crisis when her originally booked sitters canceled at the last minute—leaving her Cavachon, Tallu, without care just days before Christmas. Meanwhile, Susanne sought nothing less than royal treatment for her charming Cavachon, Prince Harry, ahead of her own festive getaway.
“Peta and Adam were our last-minute saviors”
Lia’s relief came swiftly when Peta and Adam stepped in—and went above and beyond. During their stay, an unexpected gas leak triggered an evacuation. With calm and kindness, Peta and Adam comforted Tallu as they relocated to Red Cross emergency accommodation. Lia calls them “beyond amazing” and “our last-minute saviors.”
Luckily, no emergencies disrupted Muffin’s or Prince Harry’s celebrations. Muffin enjoyed a special (and pup-safe) Christmas lunch of roast chicken—and Donna’s holiday was made even brighter when she received a photo of her senior girl happily tucking in. “I can’t imagine too many other sitters who would take the time to do such a special thing,” she shared.

Prince Harry lived up to his name: exploring local trails, greeting friendly horses, soaking up belly rubs, and enjoying spirited games of fetch—all while being cared for by sitter Lisa. She didn’t just look after him—she celebrated him, even playfully photoshopping him into a royal-style Christmas card alongside Meghan and Harry!
“They treated him like a true Prince!”
A very merry Christmas—for pets and people alike
For Donna, Lia de Sola, and Susanne, one truth stands out: their furry family members had a truly joyful, stress-free holiday thanks to the dedication of their FurPetVo sitters.
Lia remains “forever grateful” to Peta and Adam, while Susanne delighted in watching Prince Harry form instant bonds with his temporary caregivers—calling them his new “adoptive family members.” In every sense, it was a Christmas success story written in wagging tails and warm hearts.

As Donna put it: “We’d made the best possible decision for our pets.”
