You’ll only be able to share it once a sitter has been officially confirmed, keeping your details secure.
Why Complete a Welcome Guide?
Your Welcome Guide serves as a centralized, easy-to-follow reference—essentially a pet sitter checklist. It helps streamline the first-day handover, ensures your pets receive consistent, loving care, and gives your sitter confidence and clarity. Include things like:
- Daily routines (feeding, walks, playtime)
- Meds, supplements, or special dietary needs
- Pet personalities and quirks (e.g., “Luna hides when strangers arrive but warms up after 20 minutes”)
- Home essentials (Wi-Fi password, alarm codes, utility locations)

When Can I Create My Welcome Guide?
You can build or update your Welcome Guide at any time—even before you have a confirmed sitter. But once a sitter is confirmed, we recommend completing it promptly so everyone feels fully prepared ahead of the sit.
How to Complete Your Welcome Guide (Website)
Follow these steps to create or edit your guide via furpetvo.com:
- Log into your FurPetVo account.
- From your dashboard, click Listing.
- Select Welcome Guide.
- Click the Edit button next to each section (e.g., Home, Pet Care, Emergency Info).
- In the selected section, click Edit on the right-hand side.
- Click Add, enter your details, then click Apply.
- Scroll down and click Save all changes.
How to Complete Your Welcome Guide (Mobile App)
You can also build your guide using the FurPetVo app:
- Log into the FurPetVo app.
- Tap Listing at the bottom of the screen.
- Select My Welcome Guide.
- Choose the section you’d like to update (e.g., Feeding Schedule, House Rules).
- Tap Edit in the top-right corner.
- Enter your information and tap Apply.
- Scroll down and tap Save all changes.
How to Share Your Welcome Guide with Your Sitter
Your guide can only be shared once your sitter is officially confirmed. Here’s how:
- Log into your account on furpetvo.com.
- Click your name (or the three-line menu icon) in the top-right corner and select Dashboard.
- Under Your dates, find the upcoming sit and click Share Welcome Guide.
- Confirm by clicking Share Welcome Guide again.
Once shared, your sitter will receive instant access to the guide—and can refer to it anytime before and during the sit.
Note: If you don’t see the “Share Welcome Guide” button, it means the guide has already been shared.
How to Share via the Mobile App
To share from the FurPetVo app:
- Log in and tap Dashboard at the bottom.
- Under Upcoming sitter, tap your sitter’s profile icon.
- Select Share my Welcome Guide.
- Tap Share with sitter at the bottom.
Updating & Accessing the Guide
You can revise your Welcome Guide at any time—even after sharing it. Every time you click Save, the sitter’s version updates automatically. They’ll see an Updated banner across their dashboard copy so they know fresh info is available.
Once shared, your sitter can access the Welcome Guide from their dashboard until the final day of the sit.
