For Pet & Home Owners — When Finding a Sitter

  • Treat every member of the FurPetVo community with respect—regardless of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Create a thorough, honest, and up-to-date listing that accurately describes your home, pets, and expectations.
  • Clearly agree on all responsibilities—including any costs related to pet care or home maintenance—before confirming a sit.
  • Confirm your sitter through your FurPetVo Dashboard.
  • Complete the FurPetVo Welcome Guide before the sit begins.
  • Respond promptly to messages before and during your time away.
  • Provide a clean, comfortable, and secure environment for your sitter.
  • Ensure your home is exclusively occupied by your confirmed sitter for the full duration of the sit—no third parties permitted.
  • Share your veterinarian’s contact information and agree to reimburse your sitter for any vet expenses incurred during the sit.
  • Only cancel a sit—or return home early—in cases of extraordinary, unavoidable circumstances.

For Sitters — When House and Pet Sitting

  • Treat every member of the FurPetVo community with respect—regardless of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Offer your house and pet sitting services free of charge, in exchange for accommodation.
  • Create a detailed, accurate sitter profile—including clear photos and honest information about yourself and your experience.
  • Agree on all responsibilities with the pet and home owner before confirmation—and follow their instructions as outlined in the FurPetVo Welcome Guide.
  • Avoid cancelling a sit except in extraordinary circumstances. Once confirmed, arrive and depart only on the agreed dates and times.
  • Leave the home in the same condition you found it—and give thoughtful, attentive care to the pets, home, and garden.
  • If a pet becomes ill, seek veterinary help immediately and notify the owner without delay.
  • Report any home maintenance issues to the owner right away for guidance.
