The FurPetVo booking fee is charged to both pet owners and sitters each time a house or pet sit is officially confirmed. It applies to all members who are not subscribed to our Premium plan.
This fee helps sustain the essential services behind every successful sit—including secure messaging, identity verification, 24/7 support, and platform maintenance—and encourages genuine commitment from both parties.
Booking Fee vs. Annual Membership Fee: What’s the Difference?
Your annual membership fee is your key to the FurPetVo community:

- Allows you to arrange unlimited sits or host sitters all year long;
- Includes round-the-clock member support;

Who Pays the Booking Fee?
All pet owners and sitters—except Premium members—pay the booking fee once per confirmed sit.
If you frequently travel or regularly welcome sitters into your home, upgrading to our Premium plan could be a smart choice. Premium members pay a slightly higher annual fee upfront, which waives the booking fee entirely and includes added benefits like our Sit Cancellation Plan.
Everyone contributes to keeping FurPetVo strong—it’s simply two flexible ways to support what makes our platform special.

When Does the Booking Fee Take Effect?
The booking fee begins at your next membership renewal. Any sits confirmed before that date will not include the fee—even if the sit occurs after renewal.
When Will I Be Charged?
You’ll only be charged the booking fee once both the owner and sitter have formally confirmed the sit. There’s no charge during browsing, applying, messaging, or using other features on furpetvo.com or the app.
How Much Is the Booking Fee?
The FurPetVo booking fee is £9 / $12—or the local currency equivalent—whether you book via the website or mobile app.
Members outside the US and UK will see the exact amount converted to their local currency before confirming payment—so there are never any surprises.

What if I refer a friend?
You’ll still earn two months free for every friend who joins—and your friend gets 25% off their first membership. Once the free period ends, your standard membership and booking fees (if applicable) resume as normal.
Why does the fee appear before my renewal date?
If you see the booking fee displayed early, you may be using an older version of the FurPetVo app. Older versions sometimes show the fee prematurely due to interface limitations—but rest assured: no charge will be processed until after your renewal date and only upon confirmed sit approval.
